Mission in a Bottle is a movement to raise awareness about the challenges and issues in the wine industry. We raise our voice by offering high-quality, accessible wines that empower individuals to make conscious choices and tell the stories that need to be told. Meet the founder<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After leaving my corporate job I needed a break. I left for Lisbon for a few days. I knew that whatever came next had to include my passion for diversity, equality and sustainability. Little did I know that a chance meeting in a local bar would int
roduce me to Elias and Patricia, enthusiastic winemakers bursting with knowledge and horror stories.<\/p>

Our conversation led to an in-depth discussion about gender differences in the wine industry and the invaluable contribution of women winemakers in making top wines.<\/p>

Inspired by this meeting, I made a bold decision to support Patricia by pledging to produce 2,000 bottles of her delicious wines. Back in the Netherlands, what began as a simple pledge soon snowballed into an impact company!<\/p>

Movement to offer women the opportunities that they deserve. A movement to contribute to an equal world.
We do that through our wines. And through our foundation.<\/p>

We donate 20% of our turn-over and 2% of profit to the Made with Maude foundation.<\/p>

As a start-up we had a hard time choosing what cause we would donate this money. There are so many crucial pieces to the equality puzzle. When we learned that access to healthy meals for children is a foundational step towards fostering a healthier, more educated, and equitable society we felt that was the right choice for the moment. These healthy meals create a ripple effect that benefits individuals and communities on multiple levels, from health to economic stability and social inclusion. A perfect match with our mission.<\/p>

If you don\u2019t know what B Corp is: it\u2019s the only business certification that measures a company’s social and environmental performance.
